Meaty Date

My Very Worst Date happened a week ago. I had been dating online, and met a few guys, but none seemed to be the right one. I was excited to meet S. because he was tall, and his photos looked handsome. He also seemed really well read.

He asked me to meet him at a midtown Manhattan bar, which served mostly beer, and didn’t have much in the way of atmosphere. I was a little concerned, but figured maybe as a German he liked his beer. He was definitely less attractive than his photos, and had a strange goatee. I didn’t mind so much, but knew that we probably wouldn’t have chemistry. He was also wearing very casual clothes, and I was all dressed up, which was a little awkward. That bar ended up being too crowded, so we walked two blocks away to another beer place.

Things went pretty well, and although he seemed a little dull, he was smart and we had interesting conversations. When we decided to leave however, the waiter wouldn’t bring us the check. I jokingly suggested that we ditch on the check, and to my surprise he got up and walked out. So, now I knew he was cheap. We went to another bar about four blocks away, and he pointed out his building–within three blocks of the area. I drove an hour to get there, and he picked a cheap beer place next to his house and didn’t even pay?

But still, I tried to keep an open mind. He was mostly quiet, and I couldn’t tell if he even liked me. I announced at midnight that I needed to go home, and suddenly he grabbed me and kissed me. We had been making out for no less than one minute before he bit my neck. And I mean, he BIT my neck. I pulled away slightly, and thought it might be an accident, or one time only thing, but then he grabbed me by the hair, and bit me several more times. When I pulled away for a break from the pain, unsure of what to do, he looked deeply and romantically into my eyes and started to choke me. It wasn’t hard, but it was unmistakable strangling. I was nervous, so I tried to go along with things, and suggested he walk me to his car. He tried in vain to convince me to go to his house. I said no.

We made another date which I canceled, and then another one. I told him I was concerned about the biting and choking. I never heard back from him. Thank god! A week later, I still have bruises on my neck.
